My good news!!

Hey guys!!!!haven't been here in a while, been a bit occupied lately with designing,sewing and going to fashion shows(to watch),BBQs and all sorts its summer round here so a lot of things are happening.Nway l got good news, when i finished my fashion course in college I started sewing for people, they would come with their  ideas and I'll just use them and design something for them just to make some extra cash. I did the sewing on my dining table and it made my house a right mess so I stopped and have been looking for a place or a back room in a shop that I could rent  and use so l can build a better clientele. After searching for a while, almost the whole summer l went to visit a friend who recently moved to a bigger hair and beauty salon from the one he had before and l told him about my dilemma and guess what he has a spare room and he has offered me to use it whilst l help him out with offering beauty treatments when it gets busy, so basically l will be doing two things that l love, sewing and offering beauty treatments. HOORAY (dancing) anyway moving on swiftly lol. By the way will be moving into the shop on the 31st of this month and will start work on the 1st  am so excited....

Am starting to decorate the place tomorrow  so will post the before and after pics soon, but here are some of the ideas l found  online whilst l was researching...xx

Every shop I go to these days there is a 95% chance that a midi skirt is displayed on the window...this automatically tells me midi skirts are in 'FASHION' they are the latest trends if i may say..So guys its time to grab one for yourselves. How to wear Geek Chic Style!!!

       

  

  

• Get some cute yet sytlish eyeglasses(non-prescribed ones) though you can get prescribed ones if you wear glasses already.You can get them from Newlook £4.99,Amazon £4.39,ASOS £12.99,Primark,Claires,Topshop, Ebay  basically you can get them from any shop online and offline depending on your budget.

         
  

• Borrow the steriotypical Geek image but put some style on it..

 

• Mix geek with other styles e.g. Emo,Preppy,Goth,Urban,Hippie,Indie,Boho but make it your own cause no one likes a copycat.

• Wear fitted clothes with inside jokes from cult movies or books or try something sci-fi or computer related.

• Mix classy and proffesional with casual

 

• You dont have to buy a whole new wardrobe just mix up what you already have.
• If your wearing a skirt make sure its knee length or shorter.

       

• Knee high tights add a touch of style to a skirt.

• Dont bother spending money on a fancy hairstyle if you want to look more geekier.

               

• If you are wearing make-up make sure its not too much tone it down a notch but make sure the eyes stand out by using a bit of eyeliner and if your using eyeshadows make sure you use the natural palette otherwise other colours might make you look like a clown.
